Description
A unique pitcher with cobalt brushwork and functional form. The smooth lines of this pitcher show marks of the making process in the glaze with a carved rim and well pouring spout. The handle is comfortable and strong and has been pulled in situ from a clump of clay attached to the trimmed body. The glaze shows the clay subtly along edges and on the carved rim showing the slight fluidity of the glaze when it melts at 1240 degrees. It holds just over a litre of water, perfect for summer sangria or some cucumber water with lunch.
The glaze is food and dishwasher safe.
