Description
Angle mug charred is thrown with a step at the waist of the cup and a dark glaze. I throw these on my wheel, trim the angles to be sharp and then pull a handle to fit one finger which sits nicely in the hand. The glaze is a mystery one that has come from the scraps of glaze cleaned off of pots for a few years collecting in a pail. On light clay the glaze is green but due to the red high-iron clay it becomes black with shimmers of red, purple and blue. Where the glaze is thinner the iron takes over and has crystallized creating areas of orange/yellow/tan. Each mug is very unique and I do not have a recipie for this glaze, despite that I would like to, so they are not able to be replicated.
The mugs are not toxic and are dishwasher safe. To take best care of the mug however it is recommended to hand wash.
Differences in size and glaze between items is to be expected due to the hand made nature. You can write in a comment if you would like a mug with more or less variation and I can try to accommodate as best I can with what is available.
