Description
A smooth curving well sized bowl perfect for all sorts of different food. This shape is a bowl form I have eaten from for a number of years and is my favourite go-to. These bowls would also pass well in a more formal setting at a dinner party or serving something special to loved ones. The glaze is different on each bowl depending on the thickness and also the clay. Many of them have rings showing from where I have scraped the slip away on the inside of the bowl leaving very small ridges that have created this pattern in the glaze.
The size of the bowls is comfortable and will fit a dinner’s worth of soup, salad, pasta or a warm curry over rice. It is great to hold due to the deep foot ring that has been carved into the base during trimming. The foot ring is stable but thin, raising the bowl up but strong enough to tolerate many years of use. The bowls stand stably and flat.
The glaze is food safe and will tolerate the dish washer but hand washing is recommended.
