Description
A large platter for serving love to friends and family. The platter is made from a high iron clay and painted with a white slip in a circular pattern. The soft green glaze shows the clay and marking underneath it where it is thin and obscuring them where thick in the middle. It has a soft understated appearance which draws you in for a closer look. The forest bounty platter is made from a stoneware clay and glazed with a glaze that is food and dishwasher safe. Fantastic for serving all sorts of food and or decorating a surface or wall. This would make an extra special gift for the holiday season.
The platter is thrown and trimmed on the wheel, decorated when still damp, fired once, and then glazed by pouring the glaze. Finally it is fired the last time up to 1212 degrees C. This is a hand made piece and there are worlds to discover in how the materials have melted and interacted with each other while glowing white hot. Energy transforms and hopefully will provide it to your family as well.
