Description
The loop mug ocean is thrown by hand in two parts, the cup and the handle, then assembled into one part after trimming both parts. The glaze is my own recipe made from raw ingredients. The glaze varies significantly depending on the thickness due to the clay being high in iron. Where the glaze is thin some parts seem like a hard greenish steel while in the thicker areas there is a deep blue. It reminds me of the beauty and danger of the deep ocean. There is differences in the form and glaze of these mugs due to the hand made nature. The mug holds approximately 450ml to slightly below the rim.
The glaze is food and dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended for best care.
