Description
This unique bottle was thrown with some extra clay I had after making some bowls and is an organic form made without planning. The neck is slightly wobbled due to throwing the neck a bit too thin and needing to fix it by pushing the clay down and folding it back on itself. The bottom is minimally trimmed, maintaining marks from cutting it from the wheel head and also with my makers stamp. The depth of the glaze is difficult to show in pictures but makes a real impression when held in the hands.
The bottle could be used for serving a drink or water but is mostly for use as a vase. It would be possible to get a cork to fit the opening if desired for use with a liquid that needs protection from air. It has a charming feel and would fit in nicely on a book shelf as well while waiting for some fresh spring blossoms.
